Dearly Beloved,
Balloons!
One of our happiest traditions on Easter Day
are the colorfully bobbing helium balloons
floating above the congregation.
Diane Jones has once again agreed to head up the Balloon Brigade, which gathers at 6 am in the Parker Room. Won't you please join the Balloon Brigade and keep the tradition alive?! Call Diane at 847-940-7751 and volunteer!

Soldier Profile: One of the soldiers for whom we pray Sunday by Sunday is Airman First Class (or, A1C) Eric Kistler. He joined the Air Force in December 2007, and was deployed to Ali Air Base in Iraq this past January.
Eric recently emailed Cissy: "I got 18 packages from you and your church. That gave me the record for all- time most packages received at this squadron! Everyone appreciated the care packages and was able to use the items. I am in the process of writing letters back to everyone who made a package but it will take a while. I will try and send a picture of the squadron for you and your church, but in the meantime thank you for keeping me in your prayers.
And Cissy also heard from Eric's mom, Mary Ann: Eric called me today and told me that he now holds the ALL-TIME record for most packages received ever! Some guy from the Army said to him "somebody sure loves you!" I can only imagine how much you sent to him. Please tell the members from your church that the items were very much appreciated by all and especially Eric. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your love, prayers and thoughts.
The CAT's meow: Thanks to the Lilly Endowment we have been able to mail our Church Assessment Tool to all of our households who prefer getting their information by regular US Mail. It's another way of saying to every parishioner in high school and older: we really do want to hear from everyone!
And remember, all the information is entered anonymously and therefore completely confidential.
Have you put wings on your CAT yet?
Farmers Market: Once again this summer St. Gregory's will have a presence at Deerfield's Farmers Market. I am very grateful to Karen Dahl and Phil York for organizing this fun and important ministry of outreach to the Deerfield Community.
Karen would be delighted to hear from you and make you part of the team. More information will follow as we get closer to (will they ever come) sunnier and warmer days.
Faithfully yours,
"We are ambassadors for Christ, God appealing to the world through us." 2 Corinthians 5:20
