FIRST COMMUNION:
Although all baptized children as well as all baptized adults are invited to receive Holy Communion in the Episcopal Church, some parents prefer that their children be older or confirmed before receiving the Sacrament― or participate in a ritual like First Communion as practiced in the Roman Catholic and Lutheran traditions.
On this Sunday, St. Gregory's will offer an experimental First Communion rite at the Nine O'Clock Service.
If your child hasn't received Holy Communion before, and you are interested, please let me know.
3:30 PM ―
RETIREMENT PARTY FOR OUR VICAR EMERITUS!
SATURDAY, MAY 12― CHICAGO RIVER CLEANUP
On May 12, from 9-12 pm, all youth from grades 6-12 are invited to participate in the Chicago River Cleanup which will take place at the River's Highland Park Target site.
Afterwards we will get lunch together.
Spend the morning outside cleaning up trails, planting seeds, picking up and separating garbage, and more.
Please let Bret Chandler know as soon as possible that you would like to participate!
